As the month of June approaches, many of you will be attending weddings of friends and loved ones. And for some, planning for “the happiest day of your life” has already begun. Amidst preparations for the perfect venue, your bridal gown, the guest list, and a myriad of other details, this is a reminder not to neglect the most important task of all—-getting yourself looking and feeling your best! A few months is plenty of time and so I have prepared for you a personal “Countdown to Gorgeous” below.
APRIL: LIFT AND GLOW
The camera loves a beautiful bride and today, you are the center of attention. For this special moment, who wants dull, sagging skin or a not so sexy decollete?
Get a “beauty lift” with Ultherapy – the revolutionary, FDA approved procedure utilizing focused ultrasound energy to lift and tighten the skin of your face, chin, neck and upper chest. The good news is that there is no downtime and you will also be boosting your own collagen. Results appear in two to three months, so the sooner you get started, the better. To capture the glow of a blushing bride, I also recommend a rejuvenating SkinMedica Chemical Peel to reduce fine lines, pores, sun damage, acne and scars. The drying effects of winter weather can also be minimized to help produce a dewy complexion, with a recommended series of three peels. These should be spaced 3-4 weeks apart.
MAY: REFINE AND ENHANCE
Nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and under eye hollows will detract from your smile and the “look of love” on this special day. In addition, thin lips, sagging cheeks and a “weak” chin, can also be corrected with a wide array of dermal fillers available at Anand Medical Spa. I am available for a personal consultation to help you select a non-invasive procedure that will refine and enhance your most beautiful features, with immediate results.
NOTE: A second rejuvenating skin peel to follow the treatment received in April is recommended.
JUNE: STRESS FREE, SWEAT FREE, WIDE EYED, AND READY TO GO!
With the final countdown, we want to proceed with the third skin rejuvenating chemical peel, plus a “tweaking” of any frown lines, forehead furrows, crow’s feet, rough skin, and bunny lines that may occur leading up to your big day. Botox is a “magic wand” to correct these issues and can also be skillfully applied to create the effect of a “browlift”, to help you achieve beautifully arched eyebrows.
Lastly, if you suffer from excessive sweating, Botox is known to resolve this problem and will help you avoid any embarrassing moments. Treatment should be administered at least 2-3 weeks prior to your wedding.
THE BIG DAY
And finally, on your wedding day, drink lots of water, be sure to eat something light (this is not the time to operate on an empty stomach), take a long, soothing bath, consider a relaxing massage the day before, and most importantly, take a few moments to reflect on the meaning of the day, before giving yourself one last admiring look in the mirror. You did it: blissful, confident, beautiful you!
