Do you ever look in the mirror and wonder what happened to that once radiant and youthful YOU?
Maybe it was around the age of 40 or 50 – or for some of you, perhaps it was even younger – that you started to see visible changes in the texture and integrity of your skin. You notice an increase in lines or dark circles around your eyes, or perhaps sagging or droopy skin across your lower face, or maybe “age spots” have recently emerged on the surface of your skin.
You remember the way your skin used to look and you wonder:
Am I not sleeping enough?
Maybe I’m not eating the right foods or getting the appropriate exercise?
Do I need to drink more water?
Is my lifestyle exposing me to substances that are harming my skin and body?
I have too much on my plate and am feeling burnt out. Is that the cause??
I’ll Let You In On My Secret
I learned a long time ago as a medical resident working and studying 60-80 hours/week and barely sleeping that if you don’t have balance in your life and practice prevention, the aging process will creep up on you before you know it! That is why I am a strong proponent of what I like to call “preventative aging”.
My daily meditation practice, along with other daily “preventative” measures that I have already shared with some of you who have come in for a wellness consultation, allows me to look and feel at least ten years younger than I actually am. In fact, one of my patients actually asked me to show her my ID as she did not believe my age! As a bonus, by taking preventative measures, I get to be a better physician for my patients. With the appropriate guidance, you too can look and feel your best and have fun with it!
Prior to being an anti-aging and aesthetics specialist, I spent over half a decade practicing preventative medicine as an Internist. I advised all my patients to come in for an annual physical exam during which I tailored individualized suggestions, based on their personal history and examination, in order for them to prevent the development of any medical ailments. I am proud to say that I had a record of very healthy and satisfied patients, and not once did I have to admit a patient to the hospital for any serious medical conditions. With the appropriate guidance, not only did they practice, but also became fond believers in preventative medicine!
Now as an anti-aging and aesthetics specialist, I encourage my patients to do the same for the health of their skin. I invite you to fill out this short wellness questionnaire, and come in for a one hour wellness consultation where we will dig into your personal and medical history, and figure out what factors may be accelerating your aging process. I will then provide you specific suggestions based on your individual needs.
Let me help you prevent the aging process so the next time you look in the mirror, you can proudly say that you look and feel like the best version of YOU!!! ; )
I look forward to helping you get on the right path of looking AND feeling your best in 2017, and for years to come!!!
